i think the most great event that took place of the death of alexander the great or the hellenistic times was the discovers and beliefs of archimedes.
He was one believe to believe discover the lever and much more.From that one of many discover it has changed the world drasticly. And he also made a tube to transport water for harvesting and bathing which really help early civilzation because there lack of knowledge and technology.
